It's official!
Filipino pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao will be facing Puerto Rican welterweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao has won his last ten fights, and he wants Cotto to be his next victim. His last five wins were against Marco Antonio Barrera (UD), Juan Manuel Marquez (SD), David Diaz (TKO), Oscar De La Hoya (TKO), and Ricky Hatton (KO).
Cotto lost his WBA World Welterweight title last year and suffered the first loss of his career when he was knocked out by Mexico's Antonio Margarito, but he quickly bounced back by beating Michael Jennings for the vacant WBO World Welterwight title, then successfully defended it against Joshua Clottey last June.
Pacquiao and Cotto will be fighting at a catchweight of 145 lbs.
